Our Goal

To provide one-on-one tutoring in English for speakers of other languages in our community, free of charge, so that they can be confident communicating in English-speaking environments such as shopping, work, transportation, banking, medical visits, emergencies, and child advocacy. 

We focus on teaching the English needed for survival skills in everyday interactions. We prepare our learners to benefit from more formal classroom training offered by BOCES (https://adulted.swboces.org/adult_literacy_program) and Westchester Community College (https://www.sunywcc.edu/academics/programs/esl/ )
